On tour groups and off-road car games on January 3, images of a group of guests running 3 sports cars were spread on Tu Thien moss field, Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province.
This information caused much outrage and controversy in the online community. Most opinions criticized the actions of the group of tourists who were not aware of protecting the natural environment.
The moss beach belongs to the charity village located about 15km from the center of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, more than 500m wide and more than 4km long along the coast. This is the destination for many photographers, visitors to see and take photos. The scenery of the dawn in charity in March - April is beautiful and spectacular, green moss, spread out gradually under the sea. Not only attracts tourists in the spring, moss, shrimp and fish in charity moss is also a source of income of local people.
The incident of customers driving cars into Tu Thien moss field to take virtual photos makes many people feel offended, can set a precedent, become a trend that creates negative impacts on the environment and local people.
Mr. M.T, a photographer from Ninh Thuan, shared: "I live about 6km from the moss field, from small to large, I go to the moss field to play during this season, every year I come to take photos and write travel articles. This place has many types of seafood near the shore to breed during the moss season, people often come to harvest seaweed, catch snails, crab, crab, small fish and moss.
Running a car into a moss field will damage the natural environment (in crushed grapes, dead moss...) affecting other species. Even people do not step on the moss because they still exploit moss to feed livestock".
Currently, the People's Committee of Phuoc Dinh commune has issued a document directing the information verification, and at the same time assigned local police to increase patrols to handle tourists and beggars who have caused outrage in the area.
The commune will have a document reporting to the People's Committee of Thuan Nam district reflecting on the incident of tourists coming to the moss beach and the area where the boat ran aground to take photos with a potential risk of accidents.
