According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, in the first 3 months of 2025, the province welcomed over 1.9 million tourists, an increase of 26.2% over the same period last year.
Accordingly, international visitors reached about 56,000, domestic visitors nearly 1.9 million. Tourism revenue is estimated at nearly VND1,600 billion, an increase of 27% compared to the first quarter of 2024. This result is equivalent to 43.6% of the 2025 plan.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of this province, the number of visitors has increased sharply thanks to the effective implementation of many stimulus programs, along with a series of cultural and sports events organized on a large scale, attracting the attention of tourists.
Some of the outstanding activities in the beginning of the year include the Flower Festival of Lang 2025, the exhibition "Glory of the Communist Party of Vietnam", the cultural space of the trick market, racing festival on Ky Ky River and running the model of Mau Son Mount Paths.
In addition, there have been more than 200 spring festivals in the province, many large-scale events have been organized, innovating forms, ensuring traditional elements and attracting tourists.
A typical example is the Ky Cung - Ta Phu festival held from February 19 to 24 (ie January 22 - 27), attracting about 820,600 participants, an increase of nearly 300,000 compared to the same period last year.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the border province, in 2024, the province attracted 4,216,000 visitors, tourism revenue reached 4,350 billion VND.
It is expected that in 2025, Lang Son will welcome 4,400,000 visitors, with revenue of VND 4,500 billion from tourism.
