According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Yen Bai province, in the first quarter of 2025, the number of tourists reached 742,335 (equal to 107.1% compared to the same period in 2024).
Of which, international visitors reached 83,582 (equal to 100.1% over the same period in 2024). Revenue from tourism activities reached VND632.2 billion (equal to 116.9% over the same period in 2024).
Notably, the number of days served to customers in the first quarter also grew strongly. This shows that more tourists not only come to Yen Bai but also stay longer, bringing important revenue to the local tourism industry. In particular, the tourism segment has witnessed breakthrough growth.
The number of tourists per tour is estimated at 887 times, 3.7 times higher than the same period last year, and the number of tour days is 1,231 days, 4 times higher. This shows that Yen Bai's organized tourism products are increasingly popular with tourists.
Total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services and travel in the first quarter also increased by more than 54% over the same period in 2024. This growth rate once again affirms the increasingly important role of the tourism industry in contributing to the province's economy, creating jobs and increasing income for local people.
With the above positive signals, the Yen Bai tourism industry is expected to continue to maintain growth momentum in the following quarters, becoming one of the important economic pillars of the province.
