In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Mike White - the person behind the success of "The White Lotus" - revealed that he had no intention of choosing Lisa Blackpink for this project.
I dont know who Lisa or Blackpink are. I only knew that there was a Blackpink member who appeared in "The Idol" and I thought we wouldn't go that way," director Mike White frankly shared.
