Maintaining sending traffic violation notices of students to schools
In order to prevent violations and prevent traffic accidents among students, the Hanoi Police Department of Traffic Police maintained patrols, strictly handled violations to deter and raise the awareness of compliance. At the same time, the Hanoi Police Department of Traffic Police also sent a notice to the school and invite parents to work to handle the car delivery to students.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Dang Hong Giang, students are a special group with limited awareness of traffic laws, while parents lack supervision. Many tragic accidents have occurred, so close coordination between schools and families is needed to ensure traffic safety for students.
In the first quarter of 2025, Hanoi Traffic Police handled 2,289 cases of student violations, including 1,964 cases of not wearing helmets. See more...

Candidates worry about how to convert new admission scores
Faced with the new enrollment rate conversion regulation of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), many candidates and parents are "restless".

Nguyen Thai Duong, a 12th grade student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, despite having an IELTS certificate of 7.0 and a high thinking assessment score, this year still has to focus on the high school graduation exam because he is no longer considered for early admission like previous years. Parents like Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong (Hoang Mai District) shared that each school has many admission methods with different scoring methods, making it more difficult to predict admission, no longer as simple as comparing benchmark scores as before.
To ensure fairness, the Ministry of Education and Training introduces two main methods of converting points: (1) the decentralization method - determining top 1%, 5%, 10% in each exam to convert the equivalent score between methods; (2) the linear recess method - building a formula = ax + b based on the correlation between scores.
