The plan aims to develop an in-depth processing industry in the direction of focusing on linking production in the production - processing value chain and consuming agricultural and aquatic products from the province's key products (rice, pangasius, lotus and mango, vegetables and fruits) to produce products with high added value.
Accordingly, in the period 2021 - 2025, the province strives to increase the value of the industry (comparative price 2010) reached VND 15,500 billion; The average growth rate of 7.54%. The value of increasing agricultural and fishery processing industry (comparative price 2010) reached VND 11,500 billion; The average growth rate in the period reached 4.31%.

During this period, over 70% of agricultural and aquatic product processing enterprises will have advanced average technology qualifications and capacity or higher. The proportion of the export value of processed agricultural and aquatic products in the province's total export turnover (excluding temporary import-export) by 2030 will reach 80%/year.
