TechCrunch reported that internal documents from Twitter have previously revealed that the social media platform is planning to introduce a new subscription package for businesses, allowing companies to buy verification stamps.
Accordingly, the golden scar will appear on the company's records and will be added next to the employee's name when they post tweet.
Several accounts of the company and the media publisher have been given gold traces since December 12. Twitter's product manager Esther Crawford said businesses that previously had relationships with Twitter would get a gold scar sooner.
Elon Musk is looking to make a profit for Twitter by providing a colorful verification stamp service to different subjects. The company is facing an estimated $1 billion in interest payment each year for a $13 billion principal.
This was considered a difficult battle. Data from analytics firm Sensor Tower shows that Twitter's app has earned just $6.4 million so far, with Blue being the most-buyed app.
The blue chip service is now available in five countries starting this week, priced at $8 a month or $11 a month for iOS users.
The higher iOS registration fee could be a move by Twitter to offset Apple's 30% commission for app orders in the App Store. Currently, the price of the Blue for Business service has not been announced by Twitter.
Twitter Blue subscribers are able to edit tweet, upload 1080p videos, and access reader mode, while reducing ad viewing time.
In addition, their Trumps will be pushed to the top of answers, mentions, and searches.
