According to new weather news from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a new cold air mass will affect the weather in our country from the end of January to the beginning of February, causing localized rain, cold and intense cold, especially in the Northern and Central regions.
From the beginning of January to now, there have been 3 cold spells affecting our country at the time of the night of January 1st, day of January 5th and day of January 20th. According to the forecast of the meteorological agency, the northeast monsoon on January 31st - February 1st is not as strong as the previous one, and does not cause widespread severe cold and frost. However, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region are still likely to experience severe cold, with a short duration, about 1-2 days. The Northern Delta region is cold, with temperatures close to the threshold of severe cold.
Under the impact of cold air, from the evening and night of January 30 to January 31, the Northern region will have scattered rain, light rain, and cloudy skies. From February 1, the intensified cold air will cause cold weather, and the Northern mountainous region will have places with deep cold.

Cold air combined with easterly wind disturbances at high altitudes causes rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places in provinces and cities from Quang Tri to Da Nang City, and eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai.
Rainfall concentrated from the night of January 31st to February 3rd, in which from about February 1st to the morning of February 4th, many areas have prolonged rain. The North Central region is cold at night and in the morning. Some periods of rain may last for many consecutive days, affecting daily life and travel.
