Many schools consider IELTS admission, the lowest from 4.0

In the 2025 enrollment season, many universities will continue to consider IELTS, TOEFL or Japanese and Korean language certificates. But the way each school converts scores is different.

According to the announcements of the schools, the current conversion rate of scores is recorded to range from 6 to 10 points in English, depending on the IELTS certificate score.

Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, Saigon University, Hanoi Capital University, Phan Chau Trinh University accept an IELTS level of 4.0, equivalent to 6 - 8 points, depending on the school.

Most remaining schools accept IELTS from 5.0. In particular, many schools give candidates 10 English points with IELTS 6.5, such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi Open University, University of Electricity, University of Mining and Geology, Academy of Finance, Vietnam Women's Academy.

The Diplomatic Academy requires the highest requirement, candidates who achieve IELTS 8.5 are counted as 10 points.

At the Banking Academy and CMC University, candidates who achieve IELTS 8.0 are only counted as 10 points.
