The video from news agency Fars shows the first moment of the retaliatory attack on the morning of November 8, Vietnam time, days after the US assassinated Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Commander of the Quds army, of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
"The fierce revenge begins. The heavy military missile attacked the US base Al-Asad, the FARS news agency reported.
According to FARS news agency, Iran announced the attack in retaliation for President Donald Trump's order to kill General Soleimani, Iran and at the same time asked the US to withdraw from Iraq.
Fox News said that at least 6 missiles were rocketed from the Al-Asad base, while some unverified reports said the number of missiles was up to 30.
