With the trust and approval of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the Vietnam Tennis Federation has overcome 10 candidates appointed to host the ITF Davis Cup Group III international tennis tournament in Asia/Pacific in 2025.
This is the biggest ITF international tennis event in 2025 in Vietnam.
The tournament takes place from July 14 to 19, 2025 with the competition of 40 professional tennis players from 10 countries including: Jordan, Cambodia, Iran, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Thailand and 1 other country that is still updated.
The tournament will take place at the Hanaka Paris Ocean Park tennis court cluster, Tu Son, Bac Ninh - a venue that has successfully hosted many international tournaments such as the 31st SEA Games and the Davis Cup play-offs to promote to Group II in 2024.
The Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) is quickly completing the list of members of the Davis Cup tennis team competing in this year's tournament.
This is a positive signal for Vietnamese tennis and VFT's efforts to host a major international tournament of the ITF in 2025 to create opportunities for tennis players to compete internationally at home under the encouragement and support of the audience.
In particular, we hope to continue to inspire the passion for tennis to young athletes and fans, said Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation.
The potential faces and hopes of Vietnamese tennis in this prestigious tournament will soon be revealed to fans in the near future.
According to the announcement from the International Tennis Federation (ITF), after this tournament, the top 3 teams will be promoted and participate in the Play-offs of Group II in 2026.
Meanwhile, the 2 teams at the bottom will be relegated and participate in Group IV of Asia/Pacific in 2026. The remaining teams will stay in Group III of Asia/Pacific in 2026.
