According to VNA, after reviewing the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo found that:
Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
At the same time, it violates the regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and the State.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, during his tenure as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity;
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu violated the regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to take disciplinary action against Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu and remove him from his positions, and proposed that the Party Central Committee consider removing him from his position as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
The Politburo proposed that the Party Central Committee consider disciplining Mr. Truong Hoa Binh.
Propose that competent authorities promptly enforce administrative discipline in line with party discipline.
