On the evening of April 7, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that the unit is continuing to try to extinguish the fire at the scrap, debris, and waste collection site in Buon Ma Thuot city.
According to initial information, the fire broke out at around 5:40 p.m. the same day at a scrap, soap, and garbage collection site of thousands of square meters on Dinh Nup Street, Buon Ma Thuot City.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police mobilized many fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
However, due to the large landfill, garbage and many flammable items, the fire fighting force had to isolate and prioritize extinguishing the fire in the surrounding area to prevent the fire from spreading to people's houses.
At the scene, the fire spread over an area of thousands of square meters and continuously caused a loud explosion. In particular, the fire emitted a lot of smoke, covering many neighborhoods and roads in the center of Buon Ma Thuot city.
