On the afternoon of April 11, the Vietnam Health Trade Union and PVI Insurance Corporation (PVI Insurance) held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement on the Welfare Program for union members and workers in the health sector for the period 2025 - 2028.
According to the signed agreement, PVI Insurance commits to applying preferential price policies of 30% reduction in fees compared to the current fee schedule of PVI Insurance for collectives signing contracts to purchase liability insurance for union members and employees at units, hospitals, and medical facilities under the Ministry of Health; Vietnam Health Trade Union; Provincial/City Health Trade Union.
Every year, the parties will agree and add products and incentive programs to the above subjects when there are complete documents from competent authorities to ensure quality.
The parties agreed to exchange the support for union members in disadvantaged, serious illnesses, occupational diseases, or abuse, natural disasters in the program "Protecting white blouse". PVI Insurance will balance the aforementioned charity support programs when the Vietnam Health Union proposes and invites other events of the Vietnam Health Union. The cooperation time is from the time of signing the agreement to the end of 2028.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Vietnam Health Trade Union said that health is a profession with many risks and risks. In recent years, there have been many cases where medical facilities have had to deal with cases of patients' relatives complaining and litigating cases of risks during the treatment of patients. Professional liability insurance in the health sector is a form of insurance to protect health care staff or medical facilities from legal and financial risks due to medical complications or professional errors.
Vietnam Health Union with the function of taking care of, protecting and representing specific industry union members under the direction of the implementation of Resolution 07/NQ-BCH dated August 29, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, "Concentrating resources to take care of welfare for union members and workers in the new situation" coordinated with PVI Insurance Corporation to build a 30% incentive insurance for workers and employees of the labor force for the labor force, the health liability of the labor force, the health liability of the union of the labor force, the labor force of the labor force, the health insurance industry, the health liability of the labor industry At the health union levels of the health sector.
"Currently, private and public health facilities are autonomous according to the instructions of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and the Decree and can arrange their own spending structure to implement compulsory insurance according to the Law. Therefore, the provision of services by PVI Insurance Corporation is extremely necessary, practical, and convenient for medical facilities when there is a cooperation agreement that will be signed today" - Ms. Pham Thanh Binh said.
Ms. Pham Thanh Binh emphasized that, through the signing of cooperation agreement, Vietnam Health Union is committed to supporting PVI Insurance in guiding and propagating the content agreement to the unions and affiliated union members as well as introducing the cooperation program on media channels of the health trade union.
On the PVI Insurance side, based on the cooperation agreement, in addition to the professional liability insurance program in medical examination and treatment, PVI insurance will conduct research and propose insurance products and incentive programs suitable to the medical industry's characteristics as well as for trade union members, health workers to be able to bring the most comprehensive protection for medical teams, doctors and medical staff.
