Ming-Chi Kuo is a prestigious name sought after by many technology sites when mentioning Apple. Recently, analysts said that this giant is researching eink screens used by major companies that have made folding screens like Samsung.
However, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, he believes that Apple tends to develop more foldable displays for Ipads. A few months ago, both Ross Young and Mark Gurman of Bloomberg talked about the 20-inch MacBook and the 20-inch foldable iPad, both of which said they were under development.
Mr. Kue also suggested that if Apple uses e-ink screens, they may be used for the external screen of the folding device.
That is, if Apple chooses a folding design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, when folded, there will be a small screen of about 1.9 inches that allows users to read notifications and check the time.
For that purpose, using an eink screen is very suitable because it does not consume much energy for static content such as watching time, displaying notifications. In addition, it also helps to significantly prolong the battery life.
While this is not official information and Apple has not made any move yet, if the giant is actually working on a folding screen project, it will be a notable turning point in the folding screen technology industry in the Android market.
