According to My Daily, on the evening of April 4, parents of NewJeans members posted a statement denying the information that there were internal conflicts.
Previously, Chosunbiz reported that a source in the entertainment industry said that some NewJeans parents had opposed the termination of their contracts with ADOR.
NewJeans parents confirmed that this was untrue news. They shared: All 5 members maintain a clear stance of not being able to return to HYBE and this decision was made after careful discussions with each family.
From the beginning, the members pledged that without the consensus of all 5 people, they would not take any legal action, which shows that they have deep trust and solidarity with each other.
NewJeans parents emphasized that the members still maintain the common stance, and parents fully respect and support their children's decisions. Baseless rumors such as fighting families or members leaving the group are untrue, aimed at causing internal division.
"The company must be a foundation for trust, but it takes advantage of members' family circumstances to manipulate the media. As parents, we can't send our children back there.
Both ADOR after changing the board and HYBE have never once made us believe in them, and until now they have not changed anything" - NewJeans parents concluded.
In addition, NewJeans changed the name of their Instagram social media account from NJZ to mhdh_friends and deleted all previous posts. The Instagram account managed by the members' parents was also changed to mhdhh_pr.
mhdhh is said to be the abbreviation of the first English letters in the names of the members: Minji (M), Hanni (H), Danielle (D), Haerin (H) and Hyein (H).
This move was discovered 1 day after the first hearing on the lawsuit of ADOR (under HYBE Group) against NewJeans to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract (hourney on April 3).
5 NewJeans members have announced the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR Company from November 2024 and started their independent activities.
In February, they announced the group's name change to NJZ and created social media accounts Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, Tiktok under the name "NJZ".
In response, ADOR has filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contracts, along with a request for a temporary ban on NewJeans.
On March 21, the temporary ban application submitted by ADOR was accepted by the court. This means that NewJeans is banned from operating independently and cannot participate in commercial activities without ADOR's consent.
On March 23, NewJeans unilaterally announced a temporary hiatus without discussion with ADOR. The 5 members said that they temporarily suspended their activities out of respect for the court's ruling, and emphasized that this was a completely necessary decision right now so that the group could return stronger in the future.
NewJeans' change of social media account may be due to the ban that prevents the group from continuing to operate under the name NJZ.
