Started at the end of November 2021, the Bac Kan City - Ba Be Lake road project has a total investment of more than VND 2,330 billion, nearly 40km long. The project has a scale of grade III and grade IV mountainous roads, with a design speed of 40km/h - 60km/h.
The project starts at Km 0+000 intersecting with National Highway 3B (Km 144+324), ending at Km 39+000 in the Hua Ma dynamic area.
According to the reporter's records, after a long period of construction, the Bac Kan City - Ho Ba Be route has been basically completed. Vehicles can move from the beginning of the route to the end of the route.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duy (officer of 568 Construction Investment Group Joint Stock Company) said that the construction unit from Km14 - Km16 has reached 95% of the volume. In 2024, storm No. 3 caused landslides, leading to a section of road under construction having to stop. Currently, the unit is focusing on processing and will complete it in the second quarter of 2025.
According to Mr. Trieu Hong Son - officer of the Bac Kan Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Bac Kan City - Ho Ba Be route is currently 98% complete. Some sections affected by natural disasters are being urgently repaired to be handed over in the second quarter of 2025.
Investing in the construction of the Bac Kan City - Ho Ba Be route helps synchronize traffic infrastructure, shortening travel distance from 4 hours to 1 hour.
Also a project connecting Bac Kan City to the lake, the Nam Cat Lake Road project worth 226 billion VND, started construction in September 2023. The route has a total length of more than 6.5 km, section 1 is 1.35 km long, each lane has a road surface of 5.25 m wide. Section 2 is a grade IV mountainous road, with a road surface width of 5.5m. Section 3 of rural road type B with a road surface width of 3m.
After 1.5 years of construction, the shape of the road has gradually emerged. A large amount of rock and soil from high hills was scraped and leveled at low-lying locations. Sub- Items such as drainage culverts, water intakes, and hard bridges are also deployed synchronously.
According to the plan, the route will be completed in 2025. In addition to synchronizing traffic infrastructure, the project will create a connection between the city center and the lake, promoting tourism, economic and social development.
Another key project expected to be completed in 2025 is the Bac Kan Provincial Stadium. The project started construction in mid-January 2024, on an area of over 20 hectares with a capacity of about 8,000 seats, increasing to 15,000 seats in the next phase.
According to the reporter, after more than 1 year of implementation, the project is entering the stage of completing the site and constructing the stands and foundations.
The football field corridor area is being dug up and leveled to create a slope. A large amount of rock and soil is transported from high to low positions, serving the foundation work. In the main yard area, construction units are deploying the stands.
Some areas with completed leveling have been converted to foundation construction, installation and reinforcement of the reinforced concrete system.
Information from the People's Committee of Bac Kan City, until the end of the first quarter of 2025, the leveling work has reached about 92%, the basic sewer system is completed. As planned, the project will be completed and put into use by the end of 2025.
