A crane collapsed onto a busy road in W finished City, China on the morning of June 9, injuring two people.
The Vu Han Rural and Urban Construction Office announced on its official social media account WeChat that the accident occurred at the construction site of the Duong Tu Vu Han River Center - a new commercial complex project that started construction 2 months ago.
The two cars were damaged and the two people were injured and had to be hospitalized. However, the injuries of the victims of the crane collapse were not threatened with life.
According to Daily Mail, a clip recorded the moment a giant crane collapsed showing the crane lifting a heavy steel block before collapsing onto a crowded street in Vu Han at around 9:30 a.m.
The two damaged cars were parked on the roadside when the accident occurred, according to local officials. In addition, a small building on the other side of the road was also severely damaged in the crane collapse.
The crane collapse on Vu Han Street is currently being investigated, Vu Han's local government announced on social network Weibo.
The clip of the crane collapse in Wuhan was shared by a resident of Wang Liangyuan, according to Storyful, showing that the crane was broken and caused damage to the construction itself. The video also showed that police cars were deployed at the scene of the accident.
