Gold price increases, transactions increase
Recorded by Lao Dong reporter on April 10, at some gold shops in Hanoi, the situation of people jostling to line up in front of the shop to wait to buy gold rings continued.
However, most stores have announced that they do not have SJC gold bars and have limited the quantity of plain round gold rings sold. This makes it difficult for many people who want to buy gold.

Mr. Pham Huu Phuc (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) - a customer who came to buy gold rings at a gold shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street - said: "The day before, I went to this gold shop to wait to buy but could not buy. Today I continue to come back. The shop limits each person to buying a maximum of 1 tael of gold. Currently, I am still waiting".
Mr. Phuc said that if he could not buy gold rings today, he would continue to come back another day.
Also looking to buy gold, Ms. Do Thu Ha (Dong Da district, Hanoi) shared that owning gold rings at this time is not easy. Many people have to queue early in front of gold shops even before opening time. See more...

Securities explode but liquidity is low
On the morning of April 10, investors received positive information about US President Donald Trump's decision to postpone the countervailing tax for 90 days to 75 countries and territories, including Vietnam.
This information has almost completely changed the psychology of investors, from anxiety to excitement. The only move that investors take as soon as the market opens is to order at a ceiling price.
However, they placed orders at high prices and could not buy because the bondholders had kept them tight. This development covered the entire electronic board and helped the market record a record increase.

At the end of the trading session on April 10, the HOSE floor had 534 stocks increasing, of which 372 stocks increased the ceiling and only 7 stocks decreased, the VN-Index increased by 74.04 points (+6.77%), to 1,168.34 points.
In addition to the above records, the market set a reverse record. That is, for the whole session, HoSE recorded less than 370 million shares matched, equivalent to a trading value of VND 6,300 billion. This is the trading session with the lowest liquidity in many years. See more...
