Responding to the content of this proposal, the Ministry of National Defense said that in recent years, along with socio-economic development, the Government and the Prime Minister have issued Decrees and Decisions on regimes and policies for those participating in resistance wars, war crimes to protect the Fatherland and perform international duties;
In particular, there are soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country who had been demobilized and discharged from the locality that is not entitled to the retirement regime, the regime of loss of labor or the monthly sick soldier regime (Decision No. 290/2005/QD-TTg dated November 8, 2005 of the Prime Minister on the regime and policies for some subjects who directly participate in the resistance against the United States to save the State and the State's policy; 142/2008/QD-TTg dated October 27, 2008 of the Prime Minister on the implementation of the regime for military personnel participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country with less than 20 years of working in the army who had worked and demoted to the locality).

According to the Ministry of National Defense, these are regimes and policies that demonstrate the Party and State's concern and incentives for those who have directly participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country, which currently do not have a monthly regime; not a regime and policy applied generally to all subjects.
