The Cao Bang City dam will be completed by the end of April, making people excited. Many people believe that when the project comes into operation, the scenery across the Bang Giang River will be greatly improved.
Another concern of the paper is what the official shape of the dam system will look like when the capital spent on this project is quite large.
Regarding this issue, on April 4, the project investor's representative informed PV about one of the official coordinates. Accordingly, the dam system will have some main components such as an open valve gate in the form of a reinforced concrete culvert, a dam base in the form of an elevated dam, a battery pillar in reinforced concrete, a valve tower in reinforced concrete, etc.
When all construction items are completed, the project will be decorated with a colorful LED lighting system. This design is considered harmonious, creating an airy, spacious water surface space to regulate the climate, improve the ecological environment, develop services, and tourism on the river and both sides of the river.
These days at the construction site, workers and contractors are speeding up the work progress to put the project into operation on April 30.
According to the reporter's investigation, this dam project was approved by the Cao Bang Provincial People's Council in May 2022. The total investment of the project is 150 billion VND, the Cao Bang City Investment and Construction Project Management Board is the investor.
The investment goal of the project is to raise and stabilize the water level for the Bang River, create a landscape in the city center and facilitate the exploitation of surface water for production and daily life in the riverside area.
The water-upprising dam helps reduce the increase in the river water level, increase the stability of the riverbank, reduce the flow rate, and minimize landslides.
Regulate water levels in the dry season by using flat valve gates and returning flood drainage aperture almost to the natural river, ensuring flood drainage capacity.
According to the project investor's representative, the construction volume of the project has reached nearly 90%.
