Construction offset the progress of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway
In Dong Nai, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project is behind schedule, the locality is required to urgently complete the embankment before June 30 and the entire project before December 31, 2025. Therefore, the construction of this project is also being " sprayed" by Dong Nai, organizing construction through the ceremony.
Speaking to Lao Dong newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Linh - Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board - said: In 2 national key projects invested by the unit, including Component Project 1 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and Component Project 3 - Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, contractors maintained construction throughout the 3 days of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday in 2025 with the goal of speeding up progress, compensating for the previously delayed progress of these 2 projects.
Component project 1 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway has 2 main construction packages. Contractors are deploying 34 construction teams, with about 250 motorbikes and equipment, 100 engineers and more than 400 workers participating in the construction site.
Meanwhile, Component Project 3 - Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 has 3 main construction packages. In this project, contractors are arranging about 23 construction teams with more than 160 locomotives and equipment of all kinds mobilized to the construction site to serve the construction.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Kien - a worker working at package 18 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, from Nghe An province - shared that to ensure the project progress is very urgent, he tries to strive for the tasks assigned by superiors.
Many projects to open to traffic, technical traffic opening on April 30
At the Component 1A project of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the Nhon Trach bridge project across Dong Nai River, connecting Thu Duc City (HCMC) with Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai Province) is also planned to be technically opened to traffic before the April 30 holiday. Therefore, the investor and contractor also mobilized construction forces throughout the Hung Vuong Ancestor's death anniversary to race for progress, completing the bridge deck to soon open the technical traffic.
Component project 1A of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 has a total length of 8.22 km, passes through Dong Nai 6.3 km and passes through Ho Chi Minh City 1.92 km. Of which, Nhon Trach Bridge is 2.6 km long, the scale of phase 1 includes 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles. This is a key project, playing a role in connecting the region, shortening travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai and neighboring localities.
When the entire component project 1A of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is put into operation, it will connect with component project 3 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 (Dong Nai province section), leading to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, divided into the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and National Highway 51.
In addition to the projects of Ring Road and Expressway, at the ceremony, at Long Thanh Airport Project (Dong Nai), the main bidding packages were also constructed through the ceremony. Vietnam Airport Corporation (ACV) - Investor of component project 3 of Long Thanh Airport - said, on the construction site, construction units have mobilized hundreds of construction stitches with nearly 10,000 experts, engineers, workers, workers and nearly 3,000 construction equipment to accelerate construction progress.
In particular, package 5 - construction of Long Thanh airport passenger terminal, has more than 5,000 experts, engineers, workers and laborers being mobilized for urgent construction throughout the holiday. Similarly, package 4.6 - construction of the Long Thanh airport runway is also under construction through the ceremony in time for the technical exploitation of the runway and taxiway before April 30.
