On April 11, the Hai Duong City Labor Federation (LDLD) coordinated with the Hai Duong City Culture, Sports and Communications Center to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 " Men's Football, Women's Football, Women's Volleyball" Tournament.
This year's tournament attracted nearly 500 athletes from 28 teams, representing 80 grassroots unions in the city. The teams competed in three sports: men's football, women's football and women's volleyball.
In men's football content, 18 teams are divided into 6 pounds of points to calculate points to select the teams in the next round. Women's football has 8 teams, divided into 2 tables. After the group stage, the two teams with the best performance each table will enter the round to compete for the championship.

For women's volleyball, the teams compete in a round-robin format, not dividing into groups, to enhance communication and rubbing between athletes.
The tournament is a practical activity to create a healthy and useful sports playground for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in Hai Duong City.
Through that, it contributes to improving physical and mental health, building a rich and healthy grassroots cultural life; at the same time, tightening the solidarity and close relationship between grassroots unions throughout the city.
This is also one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025).
According to the plan, the tournament will take place over 3 days and close on April 13.
