The newly provided survey data shows that in 2024, 56% of workers in Vietnam have been exposed to and applied technology and AI in their work; 77% of workers use technology and AI in their work every week. Only 24% of them are completely unaware or do not use AI in their work or daily activities.
With the application of AI in work, workers are currently having a relatively positive perspective on AI applications. Specifically, nearly 77% of workers feel that AI is currently helping them save time and hope that AI can support them more in their work.
Facing a future of AI, about 60% of workers believe that AI will support them, improve productivity and cooperate, complement each other to achieve better work efficiency. AI-applied workers in writing (email, report, presentation, ...) account for 54%; language translation accounts for 50%; creativity and idea development account for 49%", said Ms. Dieu Hoang Tu Uyen - Director of Research & Human Resources Consulting of Anphabe.
Regarding the attitude of workers towards the application of AI in work, Ms. Tu Uyen said that the majority have a relatively positive view of AI applications. Specifically, nearly 80% of workers feel that AI is currently helping them save time and hope that AI can support them more in their work.
Notably, workers are very proactive in using AI and always strive and explore to make the use most effective. Accordingly, when AI is required to "help" without giving the desired results, the rate of workers who will retake the test accounts for 65.6%; the number of people researching more effective ways to "set the test" when working with AI accounts for 55.7%; the number of people researching and testing different ways to apply AI accounts for 48.9%.
Ms. Tu Uyen did not deny that some workers were confused because they were afraid of losing their jobs due to AI. Therefore, preparation is an extremely important factor to ensure future work. "Workers have no choice but to enhance their value in the technology era by mastering + exposing new technology because AI is not only changing work but is also re-writing the definition of efficiency, role and value brought to the workplace," Ms. Tu Uyen emphasized.
