Apple Music karaoke features
The karaoke singing feature called Apple Sing will be available to all users using the Phone 11 or later, along with the iPad and Apple TV.
Apple combines the feature of the lyrics in real -time improvement, synchronized for karaoke and machine learning technology on the device, to separate the voice from the song. The company said that this feature will be available for 80% of the songs that are played the most. The remaining songs will gradually be integrated during the process.
end-to-end encryption for iCloud data
Previously, Apple had encrypted sensitive data such as passwords stored in iCloud. Now, the company is rolling out end-to-end encryption for most data with a new advanced data protection mode.
If you turn this mode on, you can only access data on your device by authenticating your identity on a reliable device like an iPhone or Mac.
However, email, accounting, and calendar do not have this feature because those services are based on unencrusted standard protocols.
Freeform whiteboard
Apple first introduced the Freeform feature as a digital whiteboard to its own ecosystem at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Currently, the application is available through beta versions of iOS 16.2, iPadOS 16.2, and macOS 13.1.
Freeform is an unlimited whiteboard that allows users to draw objects and lines, insert media, attach documents or take notes and captions for content.
Limited AirDrop
After turning AirDrop on to all-in mode, users only have 10 minutes to receive and transfer data. After 10 minutes, AirDrop will automatically return to "only subscription" mode. Users will have to manually change the AirDrop modes.
Update live operations
"Direct operation" is a utility on the lock screen and the main screen that can be updated with real-time information. With iOS 16.2, Apple will introduce sports score updates via the Apple TV app.
Users in the US and Canada will be able to view the scores of matches from NBA, Premier League and MLB. Meanwhile, users in Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, the UK and South Korea will be able to view sports stocks through the live performance feature on the iPhone.
Other features
iPhone users in India will be able to use 5G in eligible regions on the Reliance Jio network with this update.
The Weather App will have a dedicated news section to display local news stories to users. Apple is also adding home screen utilities to sleep mode. These utilities inform users about recent sleep sessions and stages.
