People's Artist Ngoc Huyen was born in 1962 in Hanoi. She is the daughter of the owner of the famous Dai Tan studio of Hue in Hanoi. At that time, Ngoc Huyen was considered the "little lady of the rich".

Receiving many invitations to participate in movies and TV series, Ngoc Huyen often refused. She once said she was willing to sacrifice opportunities to take care of her family. Long roles in the film crew take a lot of time, while she still has a small child to guard and teach.

After retiring at the Youth Theater, People's Artist Ngoc Huyen admitted that she was a true "mother of milk", taking care of her grandchildren was a top priority.
Currently, People's Artist Ngoc Huyen lives with her mother in a luxury apartment on Lieu Giai Street, Hanoi. She enjoys a peaceful life with her family, away from showbiz.
