According to Lao Dong in package No. 9 - construction of the Ring Road 4 parallel road through Dan Phuong and Hoai Duc districts (51km long) constructed by contractor Vinaconex, dozens of locomotives and a team of officers, engineers and workers were mobilized to work continuously "3 shifts, 4 teams".
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - Commander of package No. 9 - said that up to now, the package implemented by Vinaconex has reached about 56% of the contract value.
The contractor has completed the paving of about 19km of single-line road, the remaining sections are being paved with crushed stone. Some items of the canal overpass are also being urgently completed.
Mr. Hai added that for key projects such as Ring Road 4, contractors need to make the most of favorable weather conditions, increase overtime and overtime.
"Although it is difficult, the entire team of engineers and workers are united and determined to complete the project on schedule" - Mr. Hai emphasized.
Regarding site clearance, Mr. Hai informed that in package No. 9, there are still 3 residential areas in Duc Thuong, Dong La communes (Hoai Duc) and Ha Mo commune (Dan Phuong).
"Currently, relevant units are relocating underground and above-ground technical infrastructure to hand over the site to the contractor. However, for these 3 residential areas, we do not know the date when the site will be handed over to continue construction of the project" - Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai said.
In package No. 8, according to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam - Head of Technical Department, Construction Management Board of Ring Road 4 in the Capital Region, Truong Son Construction Corporation - the package has a total length of about 23km, of which about 20km of parallel roads have been paved with asphalt.
Package 8 also undertakes the construction of 3 overpasses on the route including the Ca Lo River overpass connecting Soc Son with Me Linh, the Hanoi - Lao Cai railway overpass and the Hau village bridge.
Regarding the progress of package No. 8, Mr. Nam said that up to this point, the contractor consortium has completed about 70% of the construction volume, ensuring progress compared to the plan.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, there are still 2 residential areas in Dai Thinh and Chu Phan communes (Me Linh) that have not been handed over.
"For the sections that have cleared the ground, the consortium of contractors is committed to completing the Ring Road 4 parallel road section through Me Linh and Soc Son in 2025" - Mr. Nam affirmed.
In package No. 10 (through Ha Dong district and Thanh Oai district) and package No. 11 (through Thuong Tin district), contractors are also speeding up the construction progress to ensure the progress of the entire route.
The Ring Road 4 project in the Capital Region started construction in June 2023, with a total length of 112.8km, passing through Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, with a total investment of more than VND 85,000 billion.
In Hanoi alone, the route is more than 57km long, passing through the districts: Ha Dong, Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin.
After 21 months since the groundbreaking date, 4 construction packages in Hanoi have been deployed simultaneously over a length of more than 48km, with 32 construction teams (including 23 road construction teams and 9 bridge construction teams).
Hanoi City aims to complete all site clearance work before April 15 and put the parallel road into operation in October 2025, welcoming the City Party Congress.
