Last week, oil prices plummeted by more than 10% due to the strong impact of the decision to impose import tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump on April 2, along with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) unexpectedly increasing supply.
In the first trading session of this week, gasoline prices continued to plummet. Analysts said that this week, tariffs will continue to be a dominating factor in the oil market. According to Reuters, oil prices may fluctuate strongly ahead of the deadline of April 9 set by US President Donald Trump to apply high counterpart tariffs, a move that caused market turmoil last week and raised concerns about the risk of a global economic recession.
