On April 11, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed Decision No. 749/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on disciplinary action against Mr. Ly Vinh Quang - former Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee.
The Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Ly Vinh Quang by removing his position as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for the terms 2004-2011, 2011-2016, 2016-2021 due to violations and shortcomings in his work and having been subject to party discipline.
The disciplinary period is calculated from the date of promulgation of Decision No. 1814-QDNS/TW dated January 10, 2025 of the Secretariat.
Decision No. 749/QD-TTg takes effect from April 11, 2025.
Previously, on January 10, 2025, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat reviewed and disciplined Mr. Ly Vinh Quang.
After reviewing the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee, the Politburo found that Mr. Ly Vinh Quang, during his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, had degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
Mr. Ly Vinh Quang violated the regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, public outrage, negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and local government.
Based on the content, nature, extent, consequences, and causes of the violation, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to expel Mr. Ly Vinh Quang from the Party.
