Speed up the progress of expressway projects
According to Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai, the locality is focusing resources on key projects to improve inter-regional connectivity capacity.
In particular, focusing on creating connections with provinces in the Southeast, Central Highlands and South Central Coast regions.
For example, the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway project is identified as a vital traffic axis. This traffic axis plays an important role in shortening travel time between Lam Dong and Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
Lam Dong province considers the implementation of expressways as a key task to promote socio-economic development, enhance regional connectivity and attract investment.
Therefore, the locality is proactively mobilizing all resources, while closely coordinating with central ministries and branches to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process.
Local levels and sectors are currently promoting site clearance and resettlement, ensuring the rights of people and creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented soon.
As of March 31, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment project to build the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway section under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, phase 1.
For the Tan Phu - Bao Loc section, the province is coordinating with relevant ministries and branches to speed up the approval of environmental impact assessment reports, determined to complete investment procedures in April 2025.
In addition, Lam Dong also increased investment in developing regional transportation systems such as National Highway 28B, DT 721 connecting Binh Phuoc, DT 725 connecting Dak Nong and DT 729 connecting Binh Thuan.
The expansion of these traffic routes will contribute to improving connectivity with the national transport network, while expanding development space for the locality.
Upgrading Lien Khuong airport
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai said that in addition to the road system, Lien Khuong airport plays an important role in the province's overall transport development strategy.
Currently, Lam Dong is coordinating with authorities to expand the scale of the airport, upgrade infrastructure, and promote the opening of more domestic and international routes.
This not only contributes to tourism development, enhancing trade but also brings economic benefits, improving infrastructure and improving the quality of life for local people.
In addition, the province also focuses on building synchronous solutions to improve traffic quality, ensure safety and sustainable development.
"We pay special attention to urban planning, development of public transportation systems and application of digital technology in traffic management" - Mr. Tran Hong Thai emphasized.
The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also called on the business community to continue to accompany local authorities and people in the process of investment and socio-economic development.
He affirmed that Lam Dong province is always ready to create the most favorable conditions for business development, while committing to stronger reforms in administrative procedures and improving the investment environment.
