According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, localities are speeding up the progress of component project 1 of compensation and site clearance to implement the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.
Component project 1 has a total investment of VND 8,283 billion, in 2025, VND 8,000 billion needs to be allocated to implement the project (VND 4,000 billion from the central budget and VND 4,000 billion from local capital).
The investor proposed to implement the project has completed the handover of 100% of the site clearance boundary to the Land Fund Development Centers and localities to carry out compensation and site clearance work.
The total number of affected cases that must be recovered for the project is 1,394 households and 17 organizations. Expected to resettle 194 cases. Tan Uyen city and Phu Giao district are the two localities with the most affected cases and the largest area of land to be reclaimed.
The section passing through Tan Uyen city has 929 affected cases, the area to be reclaimed is about 129 hectares. The locality is issuing a notice of land recovery, organizing measurements and counting affected cases. It is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.
The section passing through Phu Giao district has 678 cases and 8 organizations affected, the reclaimed land area is about 224 hectares. The measurement and counting for recovery will be completed in the second quarter of 2025. The remaining localities are also conducting measurement and counting work to clear the land.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, the section passing through Binh Duong province, has a total length of about 52 km. The expressway is planned to have a scale of 6 expressway lanes, with a design speed of 100 km/h.
In phase 1, the project is invested in the form of public-private partnership, with a scale of 4 high-speed lanes, continuous emergency lanes along the route, roadbed width of 25.5 m, total investment of about 17,400 billion VND. Binh Duong province has organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 45.6km section.
